Church Ladders
Cary, NC – Some photographic moments can’t be planned. That’s why it’s good to always carry a camera.
This old church is in the center of downtown Cary. I like the way the ladders echo the lines of the roof. In Lightshop, I crushed the darks and pumped up the whites to bring out the drama in the sky while still holding the highlights.
This photo wasn’t taken for any particular client, but I suspect it will be popular. It’s the ambiguity of the ladders that intrigues me. Many possible meanings could be imagined for their purpose.
